John was named to his current position as Chief Development and Marketing Officer at The Humane Society in 2018. Prior to that, he joined Make-A-Wish in 2014 as the CMO for Make-A-Wish America, re-positioning the brand and refocusing the team to become strategic innovators. Those efforts led to increased scores in recognition, equity, and favorability. He also doubled the social media impact while being a leader in social media engagement. In September 2016 he was promoted to the chief strategy role for Make-A-Wish International. Before Make-A-Wish, John was Vice President of Fundraising for JDRF and Senior Vice President of Field Operations at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA with a degree in Financial Management.
