Mike Smallwood is the Senior Manager for Cyber Security Engineering at Blackbaud. He is responsible for all security engineering functions including platform, architecture, application development and Red Team activities.
Prior to joining Blackbaud, Mike was responsible for global security at JELD-WEN Windows and Doors, the largest window and door manufacturer in the world. While there he led security improvements covering 120 manufacturing plants across 19 countries. Mike also served in the Navy where he oversaw a diverse team of Army, Navy and Airforce personnel in managing the largest communication security account for the NSA. Prior to that, he was a member of the Navy’s 6th Fleet mobile quick reaction force providing secure communications for the Navy’s Flag Officers.
Mike holds a BS from the University of Maryland in Cyber Security, a BS from Brenau University in Business and Accounting, CISSP, CISM and CISA certifications and is a member of InfraGuard.
