Emmy is a social entrepreneur on a mission to create purpose-driven companies, conscious leaders and inclusive workplaces. She’s currently the Director of Global Purpose at adidas, focused on Diversity and Inclusion and Social Impact initiatives. In her role, she drives the internal strategy for diversity and inclusion focused on education and awareness, growth and development, recruiting and hiring and oversees all employee resource groups. She also leads external partnerships with nonprofits focused on creating one starting line for underrepresented communities to gain access to sports and the sports industry. Previously she led Diversity and Inclusion and Social Impact programs at Open Table in San Francisco focused on career development programs and give back initiatives focused on food scarcity. Prior to Open Table, she led the Yahoo Employee Foundation (a $10 million employee foundation), facilitated a global Mindfulness program and spearheaded Social Impact grants connecting employees with amazing nonprofits across the world. Emmy is an active outdoor adventurer, executive coach, bridge builder and storyteller that believes in creating equity, belonging and sustainable change. She received her BA in Communication and Culture, International Development and Social Change from Clark University and a Certificate in Social Impact Strategy from University of Pennsylvania. Emmy lives in Portland Oregon with her wife.
