Practical Wisdom for Nonprofit Accidental Techies
As a resident of Cape Cod MA, Maureen started her nonprofit career at Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, rising from counselor to eBusiness Director. In 2008 she joined Firefly Partners as an owner and Vice President, and spent a decade helping nonprofit organizations plan, launch, and improve their digital engagement systems.
Maureen has supported many nonprofit organizations with the strategy and smooth management of their systems and programs, including Save the Music Foundation, Anera, Sanctuary for Families, and Target Cancer Foundation.
She now owns a solo consultancy, providing solutions and support to nonprofit staff who are struggling to solve their nagging technology problems. In addition to her work with clients, Maureen has authored two guides on nonprofit engagement software, produced Blackbaud’s Peer-to-Peer DIY Lookbook and the Grassroots Galvanizer Playbook, blogs at her website, and answers questions about technology live on Facebook every Friday afternoon. She has led dozens of workshops around the country at AFP conferences, bbcon, NTC, and Bridge, and is an expert trainer for TechSoup and Idealware.
