Megan Smith is an Instructor at Blackbaud University and a Delivery Lead for Altru. She has been with Blackbaud for more than three years and teaches three different Blackbaud products, including Raiser’s Edge and eTapestry. Before her time at Blackbaud, Megan worked at various nonprofit organizations and was a prior Altru user.
As an instructor, Megan teaches both in-person and remotely, covering best practices and product-based skills. Her most memorable times as an instructor have been traveling to unique and dedicated organizations across the United States, and seeing their passion for their missions, firsthand.
Megan is based out of New York City and after two years has officially become a fast walker and subway-rider extraordinaire. She lives with her cat, Julio, which she rescued from the rooftops of Brooklyn. Megan’s favorite aspect of New York is the eclectic, creative, and energetic vibe of the city. She enjoys a hot cup of coffee, a warm afternoon spent at a park, and a good book or playlist.
