Maire Moriarty has been training nonprofit professionals as an Instructor with Blackbaud University since 2015. Maire is deeply passionate about sharing knowledge and building skillsets to support individuals and organizations in the nonprofit sector by working “smarter, not harder.” She currently provides training on Raiser’s Edge NXT, Financial Edge NXT, Blackbaud Award Management, and FIMS. In addition to delivering technical training, Maire also facilitates workshops in the Organizational Best Practices curriculum on marketing, education, fundraising, and finance.
Maire’s background is in database administration and nonprofit accounting. She continues to serve her area’s nonprofit sector through skill-based volunteerism among Philadelphia area organizations, including serving as co-treasurer on the working board of a small organization. Maire uses this firsthand experience to bring life and valuable examples to her trainings, and in support of the development of two new finance oriented Organizational Best Practice workshops on organizational collaboration and, most recently, year-end activity and audit planning.
