Christina (Chrissy) Haskell joined Blackbaud as a Raiser’s Edge NXT Instructor in 2018. As a former Arts & Cultural client of Blackbaud, she is also breaking in as an instructor for the Altru curriculum. Chrissy’s passion for the social good community began when she was a first-year college student at the University of Dayton looking to join an extracurricular activity. She discovered a group that supported A Special Wish Foundation in Dayton, OH. This group fundraised to send children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to Give Kids The World Village in Florida. Not only did the group fundraise for the families, they also would train for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in honor of the wish child.
Chrissy’s professional career in nonprofit began at the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago where she was a member of the implementation team from Raiser’s Edge to Altru. There she found her “knack for data” and teaching others in her organization how to better leverage the database.
When she is not teaching, Chrissy can often be found cycling, spending time with her dog, traveling, and at the very least trying to add more steps to her Fitbit!
