Shelley Weifenbach began her fundraising career in 2011 in annual giving and advanced to Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations at Salem Academy and College, where she spearheaded the implementation of a prospect management system in Raiser’s Edge during a comprehensive campaign.
Driven by a passion for connecting strategy with technology, Shelley joined Blackbaud in 2015 as a Blackbaud University instructor, educating customers on Blackbaud solutions and facilitating hands-on best practice workshops. In 2019, she transitioned into strategic consulting, partnering with organizations to improve fundraising performance and efficiency through data-driven research and analytics. In early 2025, Shelley joined the Blackbaud Advisory+ team, a consulting service designed to help organizations apply proven fundraising strategies, streamline processes, and maximize the value of their Blackbaud solutions through expert guidance.
Shelley is deeply passionate about process improvement and aligning strategy with technology to help organizations achieve their goals more efficiently. A frequent presenter at bbcon and Blackbaud webinars, she is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Shelley served two consecutive terms on the Salem Academy Alumnae Board and is a recipient of the Salem Academy Young Alumna Award. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband and two sons.
