Event Information

The Blackbaud K–12 User Conference is the learning event of the year for K–12 schools bringing together Blackbaud K–12 experts and hundreds of your private school peers for three days of idea-sharing, networking, hands-on product training, industry best practices, and fun! 

The K–12 UC 2020 will take place on Wednesday, July 8 through Friday, July 10, 2020.

The K–12 UC will be held at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles.


Yes, Blackbaud has reserved a block of rooms at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles. Please reserve your hotel room by visiting the BBK12UC hotel reservation system by June 12, 2020.

All hotel reservations for the Blackbaud K–12 User Conference require a deposit of the arrival night’s room or suite rate and appropriate tax. The tax is currently 15.695% and subject to change.

Deposits may be paid by the following methods:

CHECK: Drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to the BBK12UC Hotel Reservation Office

CREDIT CARD: AMEX, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover

Credit card deposits will be charged immediately at the time of reservation by the BBK12UC Hotel Reservation Office. All deposits will appear on the hotel room account upon check-in. Credit card deposit charges may not be charged to a different credit card after the initial charge has been processed. No reservations will be processed without a deposit. Deposits are refundable if canceled prior to June 12, 2020.

At time of your reservation request, you will receive confirmation that your request (and deposit) has been processed. This is the only confirmation you will receive. Do not expect to receive one from the hotel.  

Failure to check in on the scheduled date of arrival will result in the loss of the deposit and the cancellation of the room for the remainder of the stay. Deposits are refundable if cancelled prior to June 12, 2020.

Please note: If your flight is cancelled or delayed and you miss your expected arrival date, please notify the hotel immediately.

Registration Information

Super early-bird conference pricing is available until February 17, 2020. A super early-bird full conference pass is $875.

Yes! Purchase three full conference passes and get one free! This discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions. All passes must be purchased in one transaction.
Please note: Updates have been made to this policy to offer more flexibility during these uncertain times with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.


No refunds will be issued after 60 days from the original transaction date. The final cutoff date for registration cancellations is May 31, 2020. Cancellations must be submitted in writing on/or prior to May 31, 2020. There will be no processing fee for this refund. Please note that registration fees paid via credit card will only be refunded to that card if cancellation is completed within 180 days of transaction date.  After the 180-day window, you will likely experience delays in reimbursement as this will be a manual reimbursement process. No refunds will be granted after May 31, 2020 and there will be no refunds granted for no-shows. Please send any information regarding cancellations to k12conference@blackbaud.com.

Replacement of a registered conference attendee by a business colleague/co-worker will be accepted. One substitution per registration will be allowed at no charge if submitted by May 31, 2020. Beginning June 1, 2020, a $75 (USD) processing fee will apply to all substitutions before the event and on-site. Original registrant must submit a written request for substitution to k12conference@blackbaud.com. A Blackbaud staff member will then contact the original registrant for more information on the substitute attendee. Payments for substitutions must be made before arriving onsite. No refunds will be issued after 60 days from the original transaction date.

Blackbaud is committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience for all participants. All attendees are required to read and accept the code of conduct before registering.

Breakfast will be available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. Lunch will be provided Wednesday and Thursday for all conference attendees. Attendees will be on their own for dinner.

Session Information

Sessions for the K–12 UC 2020 will be released around April 2020.

Our product training sessions on day one have capacity limits. Once sessions are posted online, you will have the opportunity to pick sessions. This will help us identify space and capacity requirements and provide insight into popular sessions that we could consider repeating.  

You may attend any breakout session. Choose the sessions that best suit your needs.

On-Site at the Conference

Yes. The K–12 UC 2020 moble app will be available for attendees to download closer to the conference.

The attire throughout the duration of the conference is business casual. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and to dress in layers as conference centers and meeting rooms tend to be very cool.

In efforts to remain environmentally conscious, we will not provide printed program guides this year. You can find conference details on this site, or you can access real-time information in the conference mobile app one month prior to the event.

Blackbaud representatives can answer your questions at the registration desks. Staff members available to help will be wearing staff ribbons.
