Theresa Rubico Jay is the Chief Information Officer at Thayer Academy and is a school leadership team member.
Theresa provides leadership for an innovative and secure information technology department supporting the academic and administrative technology environment across multiple campuses.
The Primary responsibilities of Theresa’s office encompass a variety of strategic goals:
•Technology and CyberSecurity policy and procedures.
•Hardware & software resource acquisition and allocation.
•Campus network infrastructure and protocols.
•Data systems interoperability and analytic reporting.
•Technology committee research and innovation.
•Hanflig Technology Fellows.
•Collaborative Design Maker Spaces.
Thayer Academy Information Technology Department supports the Thayer Academy mission by delivering reliable, up-to-date integrated technology infrastructure and services, information security, and compliance to support all educational and administrative programs.
Theresa’s collaborative sharing and continued learning of information technology occur by affiliating with several regional and national technology educational institutions.

She also serves as a mentor in the future tech leadership ATLIS ECATD program. She is a past Vice President of METAA, serving six years on the board.
Before joining Thayer Academy in 2011, Theresa spent 30 years directing school technology programs. Most recently, as Director of Technology at Xaverian, she designed and built a digital language lab and started an Internet radio station in 2005.
Theresa holds a B.S. E.E. from Boston University and an M. Ed from UMass Boston. Follow her @tjay_ta
