Katie Cagney will be speaking about work accomplished as part of her recent role as Database and Research Coordinator at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM). However, she has just moved to Blackbaud Europe as a Professional Services Consultant.

Previous roles included database manager & fundraising technology specialist in both cultural and educational venues, in the US as well as the UK. At TWAM she was responsible for corralling fundraising data, aiming to get real-time data analysis at the forefront of strategy. She is particularly interested in upskilling database users, CRM developments and user-friendly design. Typical research fields included the Northumbrian pipes, Roman latrines, Pre-Raphaelite art, and early computing, reflecting the rich collections held by TWAM.

Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums is a major regional museum, art gallery and archives service in the North East of England. TWAM manages an amazing collection of nine museums and galleries across Tyneside as well as the Archives for Tyne and Wear. TWAM is supported by four local authorities and Newcastle University as well as Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation.
