Code of Conduct

bbcon is an event for everyone in the social good community. Blackbaud is committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience for all participants, regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, religion, political affiliation, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, and any other distinguishing characteristic. We do not tolerate discrimination, intolerance, harassment, aggression, or ill-will of any kind at bbcon or any other Blackbaud event, either in person or via electronic media.

 

We expect all bbcon participants, presenters, sponsors, employees, and staff to:

  • Remain positive, friendly, and welcoming to others at all times
  • Recognize that bbcon is a place for diversity of thought, organization, and individuals; as such, respect and inclusivity for all is expected
  • Wear your bbcon badge at all times
  • Be alert and report any discriminatory, harassing, aggressive, or exclusionary behavior or speech to event staff immediately

 

Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct; inappropriate physical contact (e.g., unwelcome sexual advances, groping, sexual assault); physical, written, verbal, or other abuse, as determined by the event organizer and its representatives, in their sole discretion; failing to obey any rules or regulations of the venue and Blackbaud.

 

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone engaged in unacceptable behavior is subject to expulsion from bbcon, in Blackbaud’s sole discretion, without refund.

 

Reporting Unacceptable Behavior
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being treated poorly, or have additional concerns, please contact any member of the bbcon team. Team members can be found at the information desks.

We expect all participants to follow this Code of Conduct at all bbcon venues, any external venue affiliated with bbcon, and all related social events. The policy may be revised at any time by Blackbaud without notice. In the event of an emergency, please contact local authorities immediately.

Cancellation Policy

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED 60 DAYS FROM THE ORIGINAL TRANSACTION DATE. The final cutoff date for registration cancellations is on/or prior to July 19, 2019. Cancellations submitted in writing on/or prior to July 19, 2019 will be refunded, less a $75 (USD) processing fee as long as the original transaction date is within 60 days. BEGINNING July 20, 2019, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. No refunds will be granted for no-shows. Please send any information regarding cancellation via email to conference@blackbaud.com.

Subsitution Policy

Replacement of a registered conference attendee by a business colleague/co-worker will be accepted. One substitution per registration will be allowed at no charge if submitted by July 19, 2019. Beginning July 20, 2019, a $75 (USD) processing fee will apply to all substitutions before the event and onsite. Original registrant must submit a written request for substitution to conference@blackbaud.com. A Blackbaud staff member will then contact the original registrant for more information on the substitute attendee. Payments for substitutions must be made before arriving onsite. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER 60 DAYS OF THE ORIGINAL TRANSACTION DATE.
