Blackbaud will continue to explore and analyze our options for future decisions on virtual and hybrid events. At this time, we plan to host K–12 UC in person again in 2021 and will consider the virtual experience as well.  The dates for K–12 UC 2021 are July 13-17, at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.

CONTENT AND SESSIONS

Attendees will hear from prominent thinkers, industry experts, school leaders, and Blackbaud experts who all focused on the pressing questions facing schools today–

  • Thought leaders sharing their views on the industry during our keynote sessions
  • Industry experts delivering actionable advice regarding the impact of COVID-19 on schools and how we can plan for the coming school year during Ignite-style sessions
  • Best practice sessions where thought leaders discuss topics around virtual teaching strategies and equitable grading practices, competency-based education, building remote relationships with applicant families, using Power BI for financial projections, protecting student data, and much more.
  • Ever-popular shop talks where members of Blackbaud’s product team will be on hand to answer questions and provide feedback on product development.

...and much more!

All session times are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (UTC). Sessions are offered throughout the day starting at 11:30 a.m. EDT and running until 5:00 p.m. EDT in order to reach all areas of the world. Attendees can also access content on-demand after the scheduled time.

All sessions will be made available on-demand through August 10, 2020. After a session has concluded, the video will be posted for on-demand viewing.

Yes! Blackbaud provides inspiration and learning opportunities throughout the year. We are continually releasing content through digital channels, including webinars, meet-ups, and more. Please visit the K–12 UC Resource Hub on Blackbaud’s website for more information.

We are not offering any education credits for this year’s K–12 UC due to the reduced number of sessions and time constraints involved with shifting the event plans for 2020. Our team will consider how to include credits at future hybrid and virtual events.

This error typically occurs due to IT restrictions or firewalls at the user's organization level. We recommend reaching out to your IT department to ensure the site is not blocked on your end. Review the following technical recommendations below.

Supported Browsers—
We support the most current version of the popular browsers; Chrome, Safari, Edge, IE 11 and FireFox. Chrome is the preferred browser.

Please have your IT Security team whitelist the following addresses—

Additional Troubleshooting Tips—

  1. Ensure you have a supported browser.
  2. Check your internet speed to make sure your internet is fast enough for smooth playback. We recommend a minimum internet download speed of 1.5mbps for video-on-demand content and 4mbps for live event content. How fast is my internet?
  3. Disable ad-blockers or other browser extensions that may be interfering with the page.
  4. "Hard refresh" the page. This is done by pressing the "Ctrl-F5" keys on Windows or "Cmd-Shift-R" on Mac.
  5. Close all instances of your browser then relaunch the browser and try again.
  6. Clear your browser cache. You can find instructions for clearing your cache here.
  7. If problems persist, it may be a problem at the live stream venue. Please try again later.

There could be a number of causes resulting in slow or interrupted video playback. In general, if you’re connecting over Wi-Fi and experiencing constant rebuffering or other issues during playback, try moving your router to another location and away from other devices that may cause electrical interference.

Recommendations—

  • Move your wireless router to a more central location of your home
  • Move your wireless router to an elevated surface such as a desk or on top of a bookshelf
  • Clear clutter from the vicinity of your wireless router
  • Use a hardline internet connection if available

NETWORKING

Visit the K–12 UC event site and review your registration to make sure you’ve completed all necessary details prior to the end of day on July 2, 2020. Sign in to modify your existing registration which includes questions tailored to your networking profile. We suggest taking care of this as soon as you can so that you are ready to connect with others at the start of the conference! You will have access to a profile on the virtual platform which will allow you to chat, schedule meetings, and connect with others.

After July 2, current registrant details will be synced to the virtual platform. We will continue to take new registrations before, during and after the conference as the platform will stay live with content through August 10, 2020.Note that the networking feature may not be available for new registrants once K–12 UC starts as it is only available to use July 7-10, 2020.

The Networking feature is available for everyone, but opt-in is required as part of registration. During the registration process, you must enable sharing of your  contact data in order for us to create you a networking profile. Those who do not will be able to access the virtual platform but will not have a profile or the ability to network with other attendees, speakers, sponsors and Blackbaud staff.

To ensure you have an active profile, return to the K–12 UC event site and sign in to modify your existing registration. We suggest taking care of this ahead of the July 2 deadline. Once the platform launches, review the FAQ details to see how to make changes to the networking feature during the live event.
